On Thursday, April 9th, Proctor Place residents will enjoy a concert by the Peoria Area Senior Citizens Band.
The Peoria Area Senior Citizens Band is a group of approximately 50 retired or semi-retired musicians who perform concerts throughout Central Illinois during the summer for Nursing Homes and Retirement Homes, as well as other retired groups, with the hope that the music that is performed will be enjoyed by the residents and guests of these establishments and groups.
The Band ranges in age from 60 years to 94 years of age and plays a variety of concert band music for their Concerts. It is a “labor of love” as one Band member explained of her participation in the group.
