At Proctor Place, the health and safety of our residents and our employees is our top priority. During this challenging time we would like you to know we are closely monitoring all updates on Coronavirus (COVID-19). We appreciate the great work being done by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) to as they provide valuable recommendations to us on how to prevent COVID-19 from entering the home.
Based on these recommendations and this ever-changing situation we would like to share with you some important updates on changes to our visitor policy that have been implemented to protect the health of our residents:
- We are currently restricting all visitors, friends or family members from visiting any of our residents at Proctor Place. We know you agree with us when we say that the health and safety of our residents must be our top priority. The best way to guarantee the health and safety of our residents at this time is to ensure we are all practicing social distancing. We do encourage you to call your friend or family member as much as possible during this challenging time.
- Every Proctor Place employee reporting to work each day is required to undergo a health screening before being admitted to our facility. If any employee is experiencing symptoms, or if they are found to have an elevated temperature, they will immediately be required to depart the premises and will not be permitted to return to work until they are completely healthy.
- During this time we have also temporarily suspended all group activities as we encourage our residents to practice social distancing as recommended by IDPH.
We would like to thank the residents, employees, friends and family of Proctor Place for everyone’s cooperation and focus on ensuring the health and safety of those who call Proctor Place home. If you do have questions regarding how we are handling anything related to COVID-19 during this time, please feel free to reach out to us on our Contact Us page.
