Exercise is Good for You 

Exercise does more than help maintain good health. Keeping fit can also prevent the onset of chronic diseases, such as heart disease, osteoarthritis and dementia.

Think your ability to exercise is limited? We show residents how everyone can and should get some form of exercise. Our Easy Yoga class is a great place to start.

Easy Yoga includes slow and gentle upper body, leg and foot movements while seated. Easy Yoga is done to soft relaxing music. Once a week the Easy Yoga class also includes a focus on standing balance using the chair backs. Our instructor, Kathleen Smith, has taught Easy Chair Yoga for two years here and taught Yoga at local fitness clubs for five years prior to bringing her talents to Proctor Place.
